Commissions
I am currently open for commissions for landscapes and portraits. I would love to help you encapsulate a moment in time, a fond memory, a special place or a loved one and create a work for you to cherish.
The Process
Product
We’ll meet or schedule a phone call to discuss your ideal painting. If needed I conduct site visits for landscape studies, and determine if references for portraits are high quality enough for me to replicate.
Payment
We’ll discuss the price of your commission based upon my linear inch pricing. A fifty percent deposit is due upfront before work begins, while the other fifty percent will be due before or upon receipt of the painting. I will provide personalized product links for both payments.
Timeline
Depending on the size and complexity of your request and my current work, I will estimate a timeline of two to six months to complete your commission. I’ll check in a few times during the process to update you on the direction of the piece as well as get your feedback for any changes.
Delivery
Depending on dry times, I will ship or deliver your painting within three weeks of completion. If you’re local, we can arrange a time for me to deliver the piece to you or for you to pick it up from my Freeland studio. Each commission comes with a certificate of authenticity, my card, framing suggestions and other relevant information.
Pricing
By utilizing a rounded cost by linear inch, I keep my pricing transparent and standardized for your convenience. Please take a look at the chart below for 2026 rates*.

Why me?
It can be tough choosing the artist to bring your artistic vision to life. Reasons past clients have worked with me include:
-
No two artists’ styles look the same. In that vein, even if I could perfectly replicate another artist’s work, you should commission me if you want a piece in my own expressive aesthetic.
-
Our lives get busy, on both sides - just as I’ll follow up on status updates I’ve provided, I’ll let you know as soon as I can if I have any questions, clarifications, or delays on my end whether from a sick kid or vacation. Text, call or email anytime.
-
My degree is in fine art, and with that I’ll suggest the best solutions or insights into your piece, and what’ll make it look best with the time, canvas size, and references we have. Let me translate your vision with informed decisions and unending creativity!
-
My pricing doesn’t depend on how I feel or how much time I put into the work. For me, each piece I create helps me grow, and I won’t tack on extra costs for time or detail. Instead I charge transparently per linear inch, so you’re not subject to subjective value.
