Anxiety

I have always tried to combat my anxiety in ways outside of medicine and it wasn't because I do not believe in the benefits of medication, but rather I thought what I was doing could help on its own. Brain chemical imbalances are not anything to be ashamed of and quite frankly, my life has started to improve when I made the decision to actually consult a doctor. I socialize, travel, work hard, exercise, eat joyous foods, but those things brought me merely fleeting moments of happiness. What I realized I needed was more of a long-term solution so I wouldn't constantly find myself going "what's the point?" when something little or triggering went wrong. I don't find myself as derailed as I once was and because of that, I thank my doctors and support I received once I tackled my anxiety from a medical perspective.
